Best meal and grocery planner apps
Why it fits
Primary carer of two young kids asks for the best meal and grocery planning apps.
The post
Hey dads and fams, I’m the primary carer for a wonderful family of 4, but still work 4 days a week. Kids are 6 and 3, so still coming out of the rage tantrum stage. One of our biggest challenges is meal planning and prep. I’m looking for your best advice and recommendations for meal planning apps, how you schedule who cooks, how you map out a week or month (eg two bulk meals to start then rotate for rest of week) etc. Cheers, Aussie Dad. Edit: spelling.

I make a meal-planning app for busy families. It's built for planning meals for a family. That's the whole scope of it. For your other questions, a lot of dads here set a weekly rotation and split cooking nights, and two bulk meals that stretch across the week works well for that age gap. A shared calendar for who cooks takes the nightly "what's for dinner" load off one person. My app is one option for the planning part if you want to try it alongside whatever else gets recommended here.
